Rika Korp is an artist born and based in Hong Kong whose works are a contrast between vibrant paintings in acrylic and illustrations rendered in black ink. As part of the working class millennial generation, she takes ordinary everyday experiences and melds it together with imaginative dream states and psychedelic themes with the idea that they tell the story of what it’s like living in the world today.
She draws influence from a number of elements - environment, astronomy, travel, and urban living, to name a few.
Since the start of her career, she has worked on and collaborated with others to produce murals, paintings, illustrations both traditionally and digitally, and also occasionally writes about all of this on her blog.
